On-site Seated Acupressure Massage

ACUPRESSURE

This is a treatment that has much in common with acupuncture. Both are thousands of years old and of Chinese origin and both utilize the body's energy meridians to promote healing. The difference lies in that acupressure is non invasive, instead of needles the hands of the therapist are used.

Acupressure aids the flow of chi, the body's natural energy. This energy is directed by the therapist to the areas that most need it through applying gentle pressure with the thumbs. It is a useful curatitive or preventative treatment in that it stimulates the body's own internal defences system. Better energy flow leads to better circulation and a body better prepared to fight infection or disease. This treatment can specifically help with headaches, insomnia, back neck and joint pain, arthritis and stress, poor circulation and in helping aid relaxation.
